Brookside Plaza is the shopping and dining district, built in 1922. One of the main attractions of Brookside is its vibrant culinary scene. Local favorites such as Meddy’s, Bella Napoli, Charlie Hoopers, The Brooksider, Michael Forbes Bar & Grille, and Carmen's Café tempt foodies with interesting menus and warm ambiance. The neighborhood is also home to KC’s local favorite coffee shop, the Roasterie Brookside Café. Additionally, the Brookside Farmers' Market, held weekly, provides a platform for local farmers and artisans to showcase their fresh produce and homemade goods.

Brookside Park, for instance, offers walking trails, playgrounds, pickleball courts, a baseball diamond and the best sledding hill in Kansas City on a snow day! We are also blessed to have The Harry Wiggins Trolley Track Trail nearby.  It is a local favorite, perfect for biking and jogging, and it winds its way through Brookside, Waldo and reaches the County Club Plaza.
